Donate My Birthday - Raewyn's 60th Birthday

The Rohingya people are facing a crisis at the moment and Partners are helping. I would like donations from my birthday to support their efforts.

From Partners: "You have likely heard of the Rohingya refugees that we have been working with in West Burma for the past 3 years. Each year thousands of these desperate people pay human smugglers to transport them to Malaysia or Indonesia in the hope of finding a job and a place to call home. It has become clear that those who survive end up trafficked into slavery of many kinds, after enduring terrible extortion, torture, and deprivation.

Our work is designed to prevent them from being trafficked. Even in a relief context we set up small businesses, animal husbandry and agricultural projects so that families can provide for themselves, not finding themselves at a point of desperation where they pay a human trafficker for passage to another country."
