Booting it to Paraparaumu!

I ran 161.8km in 16 hours 52 minutes, in Gumboots for Gumboot Friday 💥💪🏾💛🥲

More than I had planned, because who knew Paraparaumu no longer had a sign and replaced over 90% of anything with "Paraparaumu " to "Kāpiti."

Ran in circles around the township just to find "Paraparaumu" the determination and frustration to get the proof was real. My poor Dad and Sam putting up with me. 😅

During every second, I felt more drained and more exhausted emotionally, than physically. I cried A LOT. 😅

Every inch of my body, from the tip of my toes to the strands of hair on the top of my head could feel love and support. From those i love who are here and not here..

What a humbling honour, to put on those boots and run my heart out (literally) for an important movement. 2 toilet stops along the way.. eat and gos... kept on going.. one foot in front of the other.

My amazing love, and Dad who were the realest MVP's putting up with me and keeping me safe and protected, warm and well fueled the whole time. Clothes changes at the ready and snack topups accounted for. Couldn't and wouldn't of done it without them. Sam literally biked behind me all the way too Sanson, at 2am in the morning.. oh they're my rocks. Then too see my baby at the end of it all... worth the twisted knee cap, swollen legs and blistered bruised feet. 🤗❣️

Be PROUD everyone. Couldn't of done it without your support.. sooooo grateful!! WOOOHOOO!!

617 deaths by suicide in the past year.

    That's 617 too many.

    💚

Thanks everyone for the support! Massively appreciated.

With 1 week left till the big boot, I've been resting as much as I've been training!

I have clocked in over 342km worth of long distance runs, in the gummies over the period of 3 weeks and 2 days. Safe to say the gumboots are well and truly worn in!

It's been chaotically fun, and even though hard work- I am humbled and grateful for your support, towards this massive cause which keeps me putting one foot infront of the other.
