Boot’n it for Gumboot Friday—500km Marton to Auckland for youth mental health. Every step says: you are not alone.
For the 5th year in a row….
On November 7th, 2026, I’ll be Boot’n it again.
This time, I’ll be running over 500km in my gumboots — from Marton to Auckland — for Youth Mental Health and Gumboot Friday.
Gumboot Friday is a youth mental health initiative in New Zealand that provides free counselling for young people under 25.
This isn’t just a run.
It represents the silent battles so many face every day.
I’ve battled severe depression in my youth years, and I’ve lost far too many family members and friends to this illness.
That is why I’m doing this — to help make sure our tamariki have somewhere safe to turn, someone to listen, and support when they need it most.
Our children will always have an advocate in me. I’ll keep showing up, speaking out, and running for them for as long as I have to.
Every step I take carries one message: YOU are not alone.
If you’re able to, please support this journey. Your donation could help a young person speak up, reach out, and get the help they deserve.
Let’s make sure no one has to struggle in silence.
