  • Training Ramps up

      19 March 2015

Well team, last nights training was the second for the day. It kicked off with a run ( 6.5kms in 30 mins...yes including the bloody stairs). As a welcome back we were then asked to do as many burpees as possible in 5 mins. From there for the next 1.5 hours it was sparing, sparing and more sparing.

The reason my t shirt is in my mount is I need to learn to keep my chin down.

After 1.5 hours of boxing training this morning we were asked to video our own shadowing as you can see I have improved a little bit... #lotsofworktobedone

  • Stairs Strairs and more bloody stairs

      13 March 2015
    Main image

The coaches at MTI Wellington have found a nice lot of stairs that run form Maide Vale Rd to Grafton Rd, it is about 290 steps and the rules are simple:

    1) Sprint 2 steps at a time

    2) Run until you can not breath

    3) Refer to rule 1

    4) 20 spider man press ups at the top

My best time at the moment is 4mins 26 seconds with a max heart rate 180 for a single climb.

When I tried it twice I blew out to 13:22.....aiming for closer to 12 before this training is finished

  • Trying to learn to block

      13 March 2015

As you can see this was a simple 1 Min round where we were not allowed to fight back, just stand there and try to block.... A lot hard than you may think
