Calories for a Cause: Rowathon for Dove Hospice ❤️

$20 of $1,500 goal
Given by 1 generous donor in 7 days

Community Rowathon: $1 per calorie for Dove Hospice, giving back to those who supported our member Myriam through lymphoma.

Remuera, Auckland

We’re taking on a Rowathon with a twist, and a purpose.

For every calorie we row, we’re asking for a $1 donation. But that’s not all… every donation also gets to vote for who takes the punishment at the end: Theo or Luc. Choose wisely 👀

This isn’t just about a challenge, it’s about giving back to an organisation that made a real difference in one of our own member’s lives.

Last year, our member Myriam went through a tough battle with lymphoma. During that time, Dove Hospice supported her in ways that went far beyond what she expected.

She was able to a range of services and practical support. But more than anything, she said it was having someone to talk to, a space where she felt truly heard and cared for, that meant the most.

In her words, “It really is a wonderful organisation, with wonderful people.”

Now it’s our turn to give back.

Every dollar you donate will go directly towards supporting Dove Hospice so they can continue to provide care, comfort, and dignity to people going through incredibly difficult times.

So donate, cast your vote, and help us turn calories into something that truly counts ❤️

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
