Wellington Free Ambulance are awesome but they need our help! I want to do all I can to raise lots of money for them.

Wellington

My name is Lucas and I am 11 years old. I am fundraising to help Wellington Free Ambulance.

2 years ago they helped me, I had my very first epileptic seizure so a 111 call was needed.

Lucie & James (pictured either side of me) are the paramedics that helped me, actually they also helped my Mum, even though she is first aid trained and epileptic, she said her head went blank and it all happened very quickly.

Lucie and James kept me (and my mum) safe and we will always be grateful for their help on that very scary night.

Keeping everyone safe is Wellington Free Ambulance’s top priority. It’s my goal to raise money for them so they can continue to be the ones here for all of us when we need them most.

I want to make sure everyone is looked after and cared for when they need it most, by raising money for Wellington Free Ambulance.

I asked them how I could help, they asked if i could get these points out

· There are lots of ways to help, and Wellington Free Ambulance needs our support. Every dollar makes a difference!

· Wellington Free Ambulance is the only 24/7 emergency ambulance service in the Greater Wellington and Wairarapa region. They have stations in Paraparaumu, Porirua, Johnsonville, Thorndon, Wellington Regional Hospital, Lower Hutt, Wainuiomata, Upper Hutt, Greytown and Masterton.

· Their paramedics know what to do in an emergency and how to get people the help they need. I am beyond thankful they were there for me.

· A good team helps each other. Wellington Free Ambulance is a charity that is only partly funded by government; the rest comes from the community. Let’s help Wellington Free Ambulance continue to be here for everyone who needs their help.
