FoodShare CEO CookOff 2016

$3,630 donated
Given by 36 generous donors in 10 weeks

Sponsor me in the CEO CookOff to help FoodShare raise $50,000 to support food rescue in the community.

Nationwide

FoodShare was founded in 2012 as a food rescue organisation. $1.00 donated provides three nutritious meals. To date over 456,000kg of food has been saved and 1.3 million meals delivered in the Otago region to 61 recipient charities.

Not only do FoodShare rescue food, they educate on nutrition to build strong and healthy communities. They also engage with stakeholders to work together to combat food waste.

In New Zealand, 40% of all food produced never makes it to the plate. We produce enough food to feed 20 million people but 305,000 children are living in poverty and 40% of kiwis are food insecure.

As the CEO of NZCU South, we support FoodShare and their endeavours within the community and are keen supporters by providing a volunteer each week to assist in food rescue.

Our values of the good use of money and thrift are closely related and I ask you to assist in sponsorship for this fundraising event.

NZCU South's involvement (page creator)

I am involved because this is a great cause that operates within the Dunedin community and aligns closely with our values at NZCU South.

For those that know me, a few cooking tips will also not go astray!
