Having gone through chemotherapy treatment in 2013, I have a first hand experience of the emotional and physical journey that people might go through. I also have some understanding of what family and friends go through as their loved one is being treated.
It takes a real team effort to make it through. From people bringing you food in to the hospital, to people cutting your grass to help keep on top of everyday tasks and even people moving in to your home to help support and comfort those not in hospital but 100% going through just as hard a journey.
The professionals and support people that work within the world of cancer, are a certain type of person. The emotions that they must go through. The great highs but the very sad lows, they see it all first hand.
We should acknowledge this and support them in many ways in order to keep moving forward in a positive way in this battle.
Challenge 100 is a way for you to focus on areas of your life that need some improvement. Trying to form healthier habits by making an effort to do something a couple of times a week can have a huge impact by the end of the year.

Most of us have been affected by this disease either directly or indirectly and whilst the scientists and medical professionals are making amazing progress in the battle, more support and funding is needed.
