Did you know that the Whanua Refuge has four programmes available to families and children who are experiencing family abuse and voilence. Teaching them the skills to rebuild their lives. Offering counseling and support and working with schools, police, government and community services.
Did you know just under half of their clients are tamariki, they work with them every day providing counselling, programs and one-on-one support where they can.
Did you know that the Whanua Refuge provide a Safe House to any Wahine or Tamaraki in danger here in Dunedin. Along with supply emergency supplies like pj's, warm clothing, slippers, toiletries and more.
Did you know that the Whanua Refuge receive no government funding, and rely solely on local sponsorship and fundraising.
Together, we can make a significant difference in our community.
