Running from Mt Cook to Dunedin to raise awareness and funds for Chatbus Dunedin - from the community to the community
Nationwide
Saturday 30rd April will see runners & support crew from local North Dunedin Businesses & The Salvation Army starting out from Mt Cook Hermitage on a road running relay, heading for Dunedin. By the time they arrive in the North East Valley on Sunday 1st the 15 runners will have completed approximately 21Km’s. each.
The purpose behind the ‘Chase the Chatbus’ run is about building a stronger and healthier North Dunedin community and to raise awareness & money for the Chatbus Trust. Averil, founder of the Chatbus, says “the children's counselling service is delighted to be partnering in the road relay event.” While these runners will have some challenges, they run to lessen the challenges that face our local school children who find themselves in a hard spot. The Chatbus mobile children’s counselling service provides a safe space to seek support in these tough times.”
How can you be part of this event? Either sponsor the runners by making a one-off donation in one of the boxes or pledge your donation on the sponsorship forms or you can check our the ‘Chase the Chatbus’ face- book page for further details. There will be buckets & sponsorship forms at the local gardens shops and around the wider city, or take your donations into Filadelfio's restaurant in North Road
As a group of runners we are working together to raise awareness and funds for Chatbus
