City to Surf for Camp Purple Live 2020

Spencer and I both participated at Camp Purple 2019, this is a camp run by Crohn's Colitis New Zealand for children aged 9-17 who have a form of IBD 'Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

We both have a diagnose of IBD, I myself with Ulcerative Colitis and Spencer with Crohn's. We have both been recently diagnosed in the year 2018, and both have hospitalisations, take numerous daily medications such as immune suppressing drugs, steroids and attend regular hospital infusions.

This condition is caused by our immune system and their is still no cure. Camp Purple Live is a way of offering children and volunteers a chance to feel normal, supported and believed in by others whom also have the condition.

We both had the privilege to attend this years Camp Purple Live. We are now doing City to Surf alongside friends, family and other Camp Purple volunteers.

Our goal is to raise $1250, which is roughly how much one camper costs to sent to Camp Purple Live.
