    RACE DAY. I felt good on the start line and really thought I had done the training to complete the Coast 2 Coast longest day, but I also knew I didnt have much spare time to get through the cutoffs and the challenge was real. The stiff head wind and a clumsy transition onto the first bike ate into the small buffer I had. I really enjoyed my 55km bike and the 30km mountain run but that is where my race finished. While I didnt reach my race goal of completing the longest day, I most defiantly reached my goal of raising awareness for Marlborough Riding for the Disabled and also massive thanks to all who so kindly donated money so we can purchase a new horse for our program. Thank you all so much for getting behind this fundraiser.

  • New Goal

    Wow. Huge thanks to all of you amazing generous people. How awesome to have reached my fundraising goal before race day. Sat 11th feb is going to be a very long day of racing from the west coast to the east coast but I have chosen this challenge. Our RDA riders and families do not choose their challenges and I will be taking inspiration from them on race day. It would be great if we could raise even more money for our new horse.

  • Coast 2 Coast Start line gets closer

    A huge thank you to all of you who have generously donated to help me raise funds for a new horse for Marlborough RDA. I have been training hard for the past weeks (actually since April) so I can reach my goal of starting at Kumara on the West Coast, biking, running and Kayaking 243km all the way to New Brighton in Christchurch, IN ONE DAY. Even with all the training, making the course cut offs is going to be a challenge. The support from family and friends is amazing as is the support Marlb RDA receives from our local community. Lets see if we can reach $2000 before I hit the startline.
