Brent does the coast to coast Longest Day in support of the stroke foundation
Canterbury
As part of my training for the 2024 Longest Day coast to coast I've decided to raise some funds for the Stroke Foundation.
The Stroke Foundation is the national charity in New Zealand solely dedicated to the prevention of and recovery from stroke
Stroke is New Zealand’s second single biggest killer and the leading cause of serious adult disability. Each year, over 9,500 strokes are experienced - that’s one every 55 minutes! And research shows us that over the next decade, the number of people experiencing stroke will rise by 40%.
Your generosity will enable the Stroke Foundation to help thousands of people affected by stroke this year; providing them with critical services to ensure the best possible outcomes.
75% of strokes are preventable, so with your help the Stroke Foundation will be able to continue their vital awareness campaigns and health promotion programmes – saving thousands of lives.
