Emergency Services Relay Run for Mental Health. "It takes a team, You don't go through it alone"
Hawke's Bay
As emergency service personnel we see the effects of mental health in our society on a daily basis. Often this constant exposure to emotional and tragic events causes our own to suffer from mental health issues as well. This event is a way for us to raise funds, awareness and to help those suffering from mental health and break the cycle.
The event is a 100km Tag Team Relay Run. The race will start in Bayview Fire Station and then follow the Hawkes Bay cycleways passed all the Fire stations in the area: Taradale, Napier, Clive, Haumoana, Havelock North finishing at the Hastings Fire Station. The course is divided into 14 legs ranging from 5.5 to 10km, so will accommodate and be a challenge for both the novice and experienced runner.
Mental Health affects us all in one way or another. "It takes a Team: you don't go through it alone."
