Pres of CUSSC shaving it all to raise money for our favorite mountain parrot.
Canterbury
Ripping a mad line through fresh Temple Basin powder, slicing the snow as you turn you look up to see a cheeky wee fella soaring and banking overhead. A regal, endemic species, emerald green with a flash of red beneath their wing span. Intelligent, curious and fragile.
We at the Canterbury University Snow Sport Club (CUSSC) believe the New Zealand Kea to be a scared part of our southern mountain landscape. We also regard the sanctity of wagers highly. Thus the president of our great ski club will be shaving every part of his body, with all donations heading straight to the Kea Conservation Trust.
Absolutely any amount of money would be appreciated to go to the Kea Conservation Trust and to encourage our president to be hairless during the bitter New Zealand winter ski season.
We're involved as we share our ski field with these birds and believe in the conservation of them and their environment.
