I am cycling the length of NZ, 3000 km, to raise money for Hospice Taranaki. I am hoping to eat a lot of ice cream along the way!
Taranaki
Kia ora,
My name is Catherine. I work as a doctor at Te Rangimarie Hospice in New Plymouth. On Monday 26th February 2018 I'm setting off on a 3000 km cycle from Cape Reinga to Bluff to raise money for Hospice Taranaki. The goal is to ride the length of NZ in 30 days carrying everything I will need for the journey on my trusty bike.
On a daily basis I witness the amazing difference the support of hospice makes for patients and their families facing the most difficult time of their lives. Less than fifty percent of annual funding for Hospice Taranaki comes from the District Health Board. The remainder comes from fundraising. Please consider making a donation to help our wonderful hospice carry on providing the best possible care.
I'm involved because I work as a doctor for Hospice Taranaki. Struggling with a terminal illness can be a very frightening and lonely experience for the patient and their family.
I work with amazing people to provide support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. I really believe our team can make all the difference in the world.
