I am taking part in the AGS 1000 miler event, raising money for the Key To Life charity.
Auckland
Starting on the 13th of April, I will be participating in the AGS 1000 miler event. Auckland Grammar School will be attempting to run 1000 miles in 100 hours. The money raised will go to the Key To Life charity, which helps support New Zealanders with mental health Issues.
The Key To Life charity was founded by Mike King. He has so far talked to over 250,000 students and 30,000 adults throughout Aoteoroa. He and the KTL charity are aiming to change the way people view mental illness and mental well-being.
This unique event happens once every 4-6 years. Boys will run 8 hour long shifts in a relay fashion. The junior school will be running from 8am to 4pm. then the middle school will take over until 12am, and finally the senior school will do their shift from 12am to 8am. Then it repeats.
Thank you so much for sponsoring me and contributing to this amazing charity.
I will be running the 1000 Miler event with the other third formers in the 8am - 4pm shift. I am doing this to raise awareness for New Zealanders with mental health issues.
