I am challenging myself as I reach a milestone in my life, come join me and support a worthy cause!
Wellington
My name is Darcy Snell, I am currently 19 years old and turn 20 on the 2nd of May. To celebrate this significant milestone in my life I thought I would do something I have never done before: run a marathon. Although I run a fair bit this will be my longest (and no doubt most tiring) run yet, making it a good goal for me.
To challenge myself further, I decided to make this marathon a run for charity, supporting the World Wildlife Foundation (WWF) in the great work they do internationally, conserving nature and natural resources. I will be donating $50 towards this very worthy cause, and challenge you to also donate any amount you can.
During my marathon I will be streaming my Google Maps location live via Facebook (on the event page) so everyone can see my progress or join me! After finishing the first half (21.1km) of the marathon, I invite you to come and run with me (at my pace) at any time before the end (42.2km) to show your support. I will be running the same course as the 2018 Wellington Marathon (which I am also running), you can check this out on a map in the following link:

I will be starting my run at 10:00am sharp from Westpac stadium, and aim to be finished before 2:00pm. I will also be finishing at Westpac Stadium and would love to see you there as I come in to complete what will be a hell of a run. I will also organise for a jar (or similar) to be at the finish for any WWF cash donations you may have.
Thanks for supporting me in this challenge and for helping the WWF in their charitable efforts around the world, I hope to see you there on the day!

I think that the conservation of nature and natural resources is very important to our planet and I want to support WWF in doing so.
