We weren't the biggest team on the Tour of NZ, but definitely a strong and dedicated team!

Congratulations Denys on the first place position! You were a well deserving category winner (as were all the category winners!) Also congrats to Kieran for his 4th place in individual men!

We hope our Unicorn Team have all had a well deserved rest over the weekend and enjoyed reflecting on the epic challenge you've just conquered!

Many thanks for the donations that are continuing to come in.

After an intense week of peddling km's, Team Unicorn finished the Tour of New Zealand on a high at Parliament grounds in Wellington this morning. So far they've raised over $12k for Unicorn Foundation... an amazing effort from our fundraisers!!

Denys and Craig conquered the Crown Range yesterday and an incredible 125kms today from Wanaka to Haast! Also, Denys is on track for a podium spot. She's 2nd fastest individual female so far - incredible effort Denys!

  • Training in the Coromandel

Craig and I headed to the Coromandel last weekend as we had intended to do the K1 race from Coromandel town to Tairua 100km as a practise ride. Unfortunately due to Covid it was cancelled a second time and is now taking place when we are down south.

We didn’t want to lose money on our accommodation so we meet our friends and had a huge training weekend. The others had planned to do K2. We rode 130km with 1738 elevation on Saturday from Tairua to Matarangi and back. Then we backed it up the next day 91km with 1419 elevation from Tairua to Kopu and back on the Sunday.

Thank you for everyone who has donated so far!

  • Thank you!

      26 February 2021

On behalf of Denys, Craig and Unicorn Foundation NZ, we'd like to thank everyone who's donated and sent messages of support so far. Collectively, you've smashed their initial goal of $500, so their goal is being extended to $1,000. This is hugely encouraging for our riders and an awesome contribution to our Team Goal of $30,000.

Denys and Craig's TONZ journey begins in just over a month, so receiving this support early on is so helpful in their preparations. Thank you!!
