DiabetesNZ Fitbit Movemeant Challenge

$530 donated
Given by 11 generous donors in 4 weeks

Diabetes NZ relies on donations to undertake much of its work. Please support me and the Fitbit Movemeant Challenge.

Nationwide

I have been involved in health promotion and all aspects of healthcare for a long time. I am a medical nurse by profession and spent many years caring and treating people with end stage renal failure as a result of diabetes.

Anything I can do to raise awareness of the simple act of keeping fit and the impact on allaying the onset of any chronic disease but especially diabetes is worth the effort.

I am keen to see all demographic groups rise to the challenge; so no matter what colour or creed please get out there exercising AND give a donation to Diabetes NZ to assist with their great work.

Lee Mathias' involvement (page creator)

As a health professional, Chairman of the Health Promotion Agency and DHBoard member I am keen to see that people are more aware of the effect general fitness has on allaying the onset of lifestyle diseases, especially diabetes and the terrible consequences of unmanaged diabetes.
