Shave their heads @ $2,500. Too Easy? Then we'll wax Mr Beans chest for $5,000. All proceeds to Cancer Society of Otago & Southland.
Otago
William and his dad Carl (aka Mr Bean) have been growing their hair since the beginning of March so they could reach this point of crazy woolliness and make the shave a decent one.
That's right Mr Bean and Mini Bean are going to shave off (that's right, they'll have bald heads) their Woolly winter/covid lockdown hair growth to raise funds for the Cancer Society of Otago and Southland.
Carl's dad (William's grandad) lost his short, aggressive battle with Cancer 2 years ago and has left a massive hole in the hearts of family and friends who knew and loved him. They want to do this fundraising and shave in his honour for the battle he fought.
The boys will shave their heads as soon as their goal of $2,500 is reached...but wait there's more.... IF they reach $5,000 Mr Bean may even raise the bar and wax his chest !!! We'll arrange for a live social media feed for that event, we just know there's someone out there with the same passion for this cause that would pay to see that chest waxing happen (think of the scenes from "40yr old Virgin" and I can almost hear the popcorn popping while everyone sits back for the live comedy event of 2020!).
Every little bit helps and if you can reach deep and donate to help someone fighting a huge battle this Christmas then go on, dig deep and donate.
The Cancer Society understands how a cancer diagnosis can affect every aspect of someone's life and how it can also affect their family, friends and others around them.
They can help patients get to medical appointments and they can provide accommodation during treatment at Dunedin Hospital if they live some distance away. Their Professional Health Care staff are ready to support patients during their treatment and answer any questions they have, whatever they may be.
My Dad (William's Grandad) passed away 2 years ago after a short, aggressive battle with Cancer. We want to make a difference to the lives of those fighting the battle & to make sure they get the support & guidance needed on their journey to beat Cancer.
