Let's break the silence together and support those that need our HELP.

HELP Auckland supports survivors of sexual violence. They have just had to cut their preschool program because of lack of funding. They also have a wait list of over 100 women desperately needing support.

My aim is to raise funds to support survivors by playing the taiko drums for 7 hours straight at the Auckland Marathon.

I can't run because of physical limitations and this is my way of being able to support a cause !I feel passionate about.

HELP responds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 7 hours of taiko isn't that much compared to the support HELP offers. Show your support today by sponsoring me to play for each hour or minute on Sunday the 28 October.

I can't believe the Marathon is this Sunday!

We will be playing in two places - ON the Harbour Bridge (actually ON THE BRIDGE!) and outside Mechanics Bay / Mikano on the city side. I will be city side if you want to come down and check out the amazing runners and fantastic drumming.

We are nearly at our goal of $1,000. If we can get $1,000 we can run out youth group for teenage sexual violence survivors for another year! This is a space where survivors can come together to be with other survivors who just 'get it' and helps them to heal from the devastating effects of sexual violence.
