Dunster-Todero Mount Everest Challenge - Fundraising for Waipuna Hospice Getting this family FIT!
Bay of Plenty
To Kick start our familys fitness back in to place we have decided to enter as a team into the 2018 Mt Everest Challenge..
Which involves:
Climbing Mauao 38 times in 50 days - the equivalent of climbing Mount Everest - while collecting donations. This year, we're raising money for Waipuna Hospice!
The Mount Everest Challenge begins February 9 and wraps up on March 30.
We will travel over to Mauao Twice a week to go up and down :)
Great way to get fit as a family and fundraise for a great cause Waipuna Hospice!
A bit of information what Waipuna Hospice does for our community:
We have to raise $2.7 million this year to sustain our services across Tauranga and the Western Bay of Plenty. We have a nine bed inpatient unit on the banks of the Wairoa River and offer day services as well as Hospice at Home care by specialist community nurses. We offer equipment loan, therapeutic massage, counselling, chaplaincy, play therapy for children and young people, social work, and family support.
Our service is free of charge to those living in our community with an illness for which cure is no longer an option. Funds raised through donations, special events, hospice shop revenue, grants and bequests help us to meet this target and we rely heavily on our community for their support. Thank you!
