Wharf 2 Wharf 2016: Run for Vayla

$500 of $500 goal
Given by 8 generous donors in 7 weeks

Hi we are running for Vayla, please see details below. Jassy Dean do a great job on Waiheke and we are pleased to help Greg and his team.

Auckland

The Waiheke Wharf 2 Wharf takes place on Saturday 16th January 2016. Make your run go the extra mile by fundraising for the Jassy Dean Trust with all proceeds going towards purchasing a Wombat Chair for Vayla Petersen.

Vayla is 6 years old and suffers from Cru di Chat syndrome as well as Bronchiectasis. These conditions together mean Vayla is often hospitalised with chest infections and has trouble meeting developmental milestones.

Vayla loves to be mobile but at times her ill health and tiredness mean she cannot walk or gets very wobbly and has falls.

A Wombat Chair will help to reduce Vayla's reflux and vomiting as well as well as being a safer chair that can’t be tipped over. Being able to wheel Vayla from the table to the bathroom and around the house will conserve Vayla’s energy and save her Mums back.

The chair will cost over $6000 so we need the community to dig deep to get us over the line!
