Our Tamariki face many obstacles in this ever-changing world so we are inviting people from across the region to drop for youth.
Canterbury
I'm going to jump out of a helicopter to raise money for young people - woohoo! I am excited and terrified all at once (having never jumped out of a moving chopper at 9000 feet before - ahhhhh). It's all for a good cause... the Drop for Youth event raises money for the Graeme Dingle Foundation's programmes to equip young Kiwis for the future. They work on developing self-belief, resilience, integrity and relationship-building skills, making a real difference in their lives.
I need to raise $1100 for the foundation to make this jump possible, and I would love your support. Every dollar raised from this event will be spent on school-based programmes working alongside young people in our most vulnerable communities. The programmes are sequenced to create a positive vehicle for change for young people aged 5 to 18 years old. This journey helps our young people become more confident and resilient, find purpose and direction to achieve success in their lives.
By helping our young people build resilience, self-belief & life skills, we can help empower them to succeed and overcome life’s obstacles.
Update on chopper jump date 23 November 2020
Thanks so much everyone for supporting my chopper jump! I am very grateful and know the money is going to a great cause. My jump had to be rescheduled because of wind on the day, and is now booked in for this coming Saturday (November 28th) woohoo!
