    Several great musical acts come together to help end homelessness – supporting the work of DCM with those who need it most. And you can help too, by buying tickets to see Laura Collins & the Back Porch Blues Band, one man musical sensation Seamus Johnson, the one and only Dr Blue with Vicky Weeds, esoteric folk songwriter Beans and toe tapping band Two Times.

    It's the official wrap up to the Walk a Mile Challenge for 2023.

    There will also be a charity art auction at the event, run by a top auctioneer from Dunbar Sloane.

    In the wake of the recent elections, our nation stands at a crossroads where the future of the homeless hangs in the balance. The winds of change blow, and with them comes the uncertainty of reduced government support for those who already bear the heavy burden of homelessness.

    As we celebrate the democratic process that shapes our society, let us not forget the marginalised among us, those who navigate the harsh realities of life without a roof over their heads. The outcome of the elections signals potential shifts in policy and resource allocation, and unfortunately, it raises concerns about the fate of those who are already teetering on the edge of despair.

    Together, let us be the change we wish to see in the world. Let us build a society that stands on pillars of compassion, justice, and inclusivity, where no one is left behind, especially in times when the vulnerable need us the most.
