Encouraging past and present Selwynites, their friends, and whānau to give to a good cause which will help those in need at this time.
Otago
As an independent college owned by the Anglican Diocese of Dunedin and affiliated to the University of Otago, life at Selwyn College is enriched by our special character. The College cherishes traditions that go back many generations and that reflect its core values of inclusivity, respect and mutual care.
The College aims to produce well-rounded leaders of the future committed to making a disproportionate difference for good in the world. Selwyn College values community and realises the need to help support those in the wider community who are currently struggling in these difficult times.
All of the funds donated will be provided to Anglican Family Care (Selwyn College’s sister organisation) to be distributed in the form of supermarket vouchers to those in greatest need.
Anglican Family Care is a social services agency that has served the people of Dunedin and Otago since 1970. Their main office is based in Dunedin, with other branches in Balclutha, Oamaru and Alexandra. Their main focus is children, young people and their families, but they also provide services that support individuals in need. Their services are for all people regardless of beliefs because they respect the values and beliefs of the Anglican Church, especially "To respond to human needs by loving service".
Owned by the Anglican Diocese of Dunedin, Selwyn College values community and would like to help those currently in need by raising donations for Anglican Family Care who work together with Otago whānau to make change that inspires hope for a better future
