Fundraising for Sir Peter Blake Charity Limited
Dunedin, Otago
Kia ora,
My name is Nora and I am in year 13 at Columba College, I am a Community (and Environment) Prefect passionate about conserving NZ's native flora and fauna.
I have been selected as one of 11 students across New Zealand to go on an expedition for two weeks with Blake NZ (a foundation following Sir Peter Blake focusing on environmental leadership in youth) to the Sub-Antarctic Islands (Auckland and Campbell) in February this year.
The 2023 BLAKE Expedition to the Auckland and Campbell islands is in partnership with the Royal New Zealand Navy, Department of Conservation, Ministry for the Environment, NIWA and Westpac. The voyage will be aboard the HMNZS Canterbury - a Royal New Zealand Navy vessel.
We hope to raise donations to support Blake NZ, the crew and youth abroad in this endeavour with scientific researchers to investigate the environment and climate change. Any donations and support would be greatly appreciated. I am hoping to raise $2000 and am grateful to have received sponsorship from the Harbour Rotary Club Dunedin of $500 already.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated in order to investigate the Sub-antarctic environments, their marine life and the effects of Climate Change.
I am happy to answer any questions and am super grateful for this opportunity.
