2nd week of my Everest challenge raising money for St John Ambulance service now complete. I've managed to climb 2,722m this week bringing my challenge total to 5,216m. That's well ahead of my required two week target of 2,064m.

This week, its mostly been hill climb slogs in the darkness of the early morning hours before work. Days are so much shorter now that even when I get back home at the end of my rides, she's still pitch black! Today I managed to get a nice mountain ride in with amazing view's of our local firth of Thames and Kauaeranga valley.

Well, I've made it through my 1st week of the 60 day Everest challenge and so far have managed to exceed my weekly goal of 1032m with a total to date of 2148m so I'm very happy with that. Saturdays grueling climb up Mt Te Aroha added plenty of elevation gain and came with an amazing view so made it well worth it, as did the 13min decent to the bottom.
