This is Felix Cairns. He has been growing his hair for a long time, and for a good reason. Even though he is only 9 years old, he has known about cancer since he was little. His precious granddad, Bob Hansen died of cancer when Felix was only 5 months old. Bob Bob was a much-loved and amazing grandad, father, teacher, and surfer. At times, he also had long, flowing locks. When he was having cancer treatment, his daughters cut all of Bob Bob’s hair off. Felix has wanted to do something to support people who have cancer, so during the school holidays, he will be chopping his hair off too. It will be donated to Freedom Hair, who will make it into a wig for someone with cancer. The money that Freedom Hair pays for Felix’s hair will be donated to the Child Cancer Foundation. Every little bit helps save lives, so if you can contribute too, please make a donation. If you can’t donate, please share. Everyone’s lives have been impacted by cancer.
