Day 4 & 5
23 March 2016Day 4. Omarama to Wanaka 112 km & 1050m climbed. Great scenery today with no wind as we passed over Lindis Pass and a great rolling downhill through to Tarras.
Day 5. Wanaka via Crown Range & Coronet Peak ski field road and onto Queenstown. 94 km riden & 1805m climbed. Nice ride up Cardrona Valley and over Crown Range into Arrowtown. Then onto the Coronet climb where we had out first spots of rain on the trip. After a quick celebratory non alcoholic drink rolled down hill & into Queenstown.

Day 3
21 March 2016Day 3. Tekapo to Omarama plus return trip to Benmore Dam including Meridian Tour.
Day started coolish but temperature hit 33 degrees mid afternoon enroute to Benmore. Rode 158km & climbed 1265m.
Great day had by all including Konrad who gave his legs a spin on the ride to Benmore with Aaron in the wagon.

On the road first couple of days
20 March 2016Day 1. 189km riden 1200m climbed.
An early start from Christchurch with great weather along the way including a nice tailwind for the last 50km.
Day 2. 100 km riden 1400m climbed including ride to base of St John Observatory ... We're not able to ride up to top as no cycling permitted.??
This morning was mint riding while this afternoon very windy after cresting Burkes Pass.
