A non-runner turned runner, running in commemoration of my nan.
Mount Wellington, Auckland
Kia ora tātou!
Turning 31 last year, I decided to push myself to do things outside of my comfort zone. And there are very few things which pushes people outside of their comfort zones more than running 😂 so here I am - someone who went from being unable to run 1km non-stop, to someone committing to running the Auckland half marathon on November 2nd - the day before my 32nd birthday.
In commemoration of this feat, I have committed to running in remembrance of my nan - Monica Topia - who I lost to cancer, and all proceeds I will donate to gynaecological cancer research.
