Harvey House boys raising funds for the Breast Cancer Foundation in honour of the women who have shaped our lives.

College Estate, Whanganui

This year, the boys of Harvey House have chosen to support the Breast Cancer Foundation as part of Charity Week.

For many of us, this cause is deeply personal. When we think about the women who have shaped our lives — our mothers, sisters, aunties, and grandmothers — we are reminded just how much they mean to us. Their care, strength, and guidance are a huge part of who we are today.

Breast cancer affects so many families, and through this initiative, we wanted to do something that gives back and shows our appreciation. This is our way of honouring not only the women closest to us, but all those impacted by breast cancer.

As a group of young men, we recognise the importance of standing up for the people who have always stood up for us. Every donation, no matter the size, contributes to research, support, and hope for those affected.

We would greatly appreciate your support in helping us make a difference.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
