From July 9th 2018 until December 10th (roughly) Constable 'Sam' and Constable 'Bryan' will grow beards in support of Alzheimers New Zealand while at the same time encouraging your support for those with dementia.
Why Beards ?? Because just like a beard dementia slowly creeps up on the people it affects them, their family/whanau and takes that person's identity from them. Both Constables work in the Hibiscus Coast Auckland Area which has a large number of elderly people affected by dementia in the community or local rest homes.
