Stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis to raising awareness, funding research, and giving hope to women still fighting for answers.❤️🎗️🏃♀️
Mapua, Tasman
For years, I lived with chronic pain, exhaustion, and symptoms that affected almost every part of my life. There were days when getting out of bed felt difficult, yet I still had to show up as a partner, a mum, and keep life moving forward. From the outside, most people had no idea how much I was struggling.
Like many women, I was told it was anxiety or stress and made to believe it was all in my own head. But after years of fighting to be heard, I was finally diagnosed with Stage 4 endometriosis and adenomyosis. The diagnosis was devastating, but it also confirmed that the pain and suffering I had endured for so long were real.
Despite the fertility challenges these diseases can cause, I feel incredibly fortunate to be the mum of two beautiful children. I know many women are not given that opportunity, which is one of the reasons this cause means so much to me.
Following a recent hysterectomy and endometriosis excision, I am rebuilding my health and training to complete the 2028 Queenstown Marathon. I am raising funds for endometriosis research to help improve diagnosis, treatment, and awareness, so fewer women have to spend years suffering before receiving answers.
Every donation helps turn years of pain into purpose and brings us closer to a future where women are believed, supported, and given the care they deserve. Thank you for being part of the journey. ❤️🎗️🏃♀️
