Diving in deep on everything swimming to drag myself from one end of the pool to a 10K open water swim for men's mental health
Christchurch, Canterbury
since the challenge of climbing the Tamaki st steps for 30 hours straight a few years back I've been trying to dream up some other madness to complete for a good cause. . . How life's thrown its own road blocks at me in recent years, like having a stroke at age 35 with nobody able to tell me really how or why🤷🏻. . . that left my mind in a dark place with no answers and I'm sure we all know the mind is a dangerous enough place to live at the best of times without adding to it. Anyways I've been blessed to have good people around that pulled me through the mud to the other side.
Not everyone is lucky enough to have that support so after meeting with the legend @taitupou at a men's health day in our gym and hearing his story I was driven to dream up the next crazy endeavour and put the proceeds behind his purpose @thelastchanceproject22
This is a non profit organisation set up to create awareness and support for boys and men of all ages who face tough mental health challenges. Now if that's not a cause worth getting behind then I don't know what is💪🏻
Soooo, what's the plan ay?
Well it's widely known and been proven that me and swimming aren't the best of friends so the plan is to document the journey from being a poorly floating brick to 10Km open water swim and drum up some loot for the cause along the way.
Much love in advance for the support ♥️😌
