Rushabh's fundraising bike & hike for orphans!

Welcome to my fundraising page!

On 6th of November, I am going to hike 19.4kms to cross the famous active volcano on the north island of New Zealand, “Mount Tongariro” to support the cause of Orphans Aid International - an organization that rescues children from abusive and unsafe environments and finds them safe and loving families/homes!

Leading up to the hike, as part of my fundraiser challenge, I am going to bike 10kms everyday (rain or shine) for 60 days from 1st September to 1st November. You can support me by donating or simply sharing this within you circle!

I have been working closely with Orphans Aid International for the past couple of years. Witnessing orphans being rescued, educated and given a fair opportunity to thrive in life has really inspired me!

These vulnerable young children have no one to call their own and the impact of Covid-19 and other calamities in the recent years have made the situation worse. The number of Orphans around the world has increased by 5 times in the last 2 years.

According to UNICEF.

Globally, from March 1, 2020, to April 30, 2021-

11,34,000 children experienced the death of primary caregivers, including at least one parent or custodial grandparent.

I could not imagine doing life without the support I've received from my family and friends and looking at this whole demographic of vulnerable young kids with no help, makes me want to do something for them.
