Fundraising for Gumboot Friday

Nationwide

Hello to all my friends and supporters, I am back again in my gumboots for round 4!

The Buller Gorge Marathon will be hosting me for the 4th year in a row! Show your love this Valentine’s Day by donating big or small to the I am hope foundation.

Running in gumboots has never been easy but I am determined to keep it going due to receiving so much support in the past.

I Am Hope is a youth-focused mental-health charity in here in NZ that works to change how people think, talk and feel about mental well-being and suicide.

They provide free counselling to people aged 25 and under through an initiative called Gumboot Friday.

They also run school programmes, in primary and intermediate schools, aimed at helping young children understand and deal with emotions and self-doubt.

Their broader mission is to smash mental-health stigma and make it normal for young people to reach out for help when they need it.

Please support me through this gumboot running journey as I am to reach $100,000 in total raised through the support of the amazing staff at the Buller Gorge Marathon.

2% Effective Fee
On average, fundraisers pay just 2% to use Givealittle. This is one of the lowest effective fees in New Zealand fundraising. We charge a 5% platform fee to cover the cost of running the platform. Because most donors choose to top up their donation to cover this fee, the effective cost paid by fundraisers is about 2%. That means around 98 cents of every dollar raised goes to the cause.
