Running 1000 miles alongside AGS to raise money for The Key to Life Trust, who seek to promote a greater awareness of mental health
Auckland
The AGS 1000 miler has ~90 Auckland Grammar students running 1000 miles in less than 100 hours.
It will be run on a 24 hour cycle, with the junior students running from 8AM-4PM, Intermediate students running from 4PM-12AM and Senior students (which I'm a part of) running the graveyard shift from 12AM-8AM. This cycle will take place over the course of 4 and a half days until we reach the goal of 1000 miles.
All donations towards this event go to The Key To Life Trust, founder by Mike King this is a support group aiming to change the manner in which New Zealanders think, act, and feel about mental health and well-being. Aiming to work alongside health professionals, service providers, and those within the community to encourage a positive change in attitudes across the nation.
If you would like to witness the event live, it will begin at 8AM on Friday 12th April and finish on late Tuesday evening April 16th, your support, whether it's in the form of a donation, or simply showing up for an hour to voice your support, is greatly appreciated!
As a student of Auckland Grammar School and a support of mental health awareness, this event represented a great cause worth supporting.
