Your generosity speaks volumes! Funds raised support the Hearing House and the Southern Cochlear Implant Programme
Nationwide
Thank you for supporting Izabella for Loud Shirt Day 2019.
Loud Shirt Day is an annual event held every September, and is all about getting loud and raising funds to help deaf children who have cochlear implants and hearing aids learn to listen and speak.
Izabella was born with a profound hearing loss in both ears and underwent surgery to receive cochlear implants at six months old. They were "switched on" a month later when she heard sound for the first time. We were incredibly fortunate to receive audio-verbal therapy and audiology services from The Hearing House until Izabella turned 5 and transitioned into school with age appropriate language!!!

Izabella was just one of the hundreds of New Zealand children who go to The Hearing House and the Southern Cochlear Implant Programme for audiology services and auditory-verbal therapy. All services are free to families.

This September I’ll be wearing my loudest shirt and raising funds to help deaf children across New Zealand, who have cochlear implants and hearing aids, learn to listen and speak like their hearing peers.
