Gina is running 100km to raise awareness about Dementia and Parkinson's.
Napier, Hawke's Bay
Gina has been running since she was 11 years old. She remembers seeing her Dad going out for runs every day, and one day she said "Dad I want to do what you do" and so he taught her to run. She has been running ever since, and loves the feeling of being free, clean air in her lungs and not having to worry about anything while running.
Unfortunately in 2017, her Dad Ian was diagnosed with Dementia, and 10 years before that, her beloved uncle was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
In February, Gina will be running 100km to raise funds for both diseases that have affected her family so much. Any contribution to support these causes is much appreciated. Follow along to see Gina's journey and training for this upcoming run.
