    One week to go - getting pretty nervous!!!? But I've done the hard yards so should be ok.? Have started buying everything that will be required for race day like new tubes, socks and gels etc.? Have to get the bike checked for safety on Monday, then a final tune-up on Wednesday.? So much to think about!!!! Last weekend of training to go and then Nik gets her husband back!

    I came?off my bike just over a week ago.? Took the week off to recover and let the stitches do their thing.? Felt pretty good back on the horse today.? 2 weeks to go!!!

    I'm now into week 15 of the 20 week programme so reaching peak.? 17 hours of training this week, 18 next week, then 3 weeks of tapering - can't wait!! Nicola is looking forward to seeing me again!

    Fundraising is going really well - thanks to all of my sponsors! Training wise I'm into week?4 of a 20 week plan.??Doing around?8 hours a week so not too bad.? Will start ramping up from week 5 onwards. Spent all day in the garden yesterday with the spade and lifting bags of sand etc, and then went for a 1.5 hour run.? Absolutely knackered today!!

    Managed to sort out my training programme.? Now in week 2 of a 20 week schedule.? First 4 weeks are only about 8 hours a week to get the body ready for the real grind. Had a good long run (1:22) on Sunday before heading into town for the rugby!? Pretty sure my heart rate was higher at the game than climbing Mt Wellington!
