Joseph is taking on his biggest challenge yet for Gumboot Friday, a 24hr run challenge where he will run a total of 160.8km 💛💛💛
Hastings, Hawke's Bay
He's cycled Auckland to Wellington, run car cruises and events and run almost 12hrs in a Hopewalk Non Stop challenge all in the name of Suicide Awareness and raising funds for I AM HOPE and Gumboot Friday!!
This year Joseph Parker-Smith is taking it to another level and doing the Outfoxed Backyard Ultra 24hr challenge all in the name of Suicide Awareness and raising funds for Gumboot Friday. The challenge consists of running a 6.7km lap on the hour every hour for 24hrs. Obviously the goal is to run the full 24 laps over 24hours totaling 160.8kms running distance. Joseph has never run anything close to this distance and what better reason to do it than to raise funds for Kiwi Kids!!
The best way to show support is to donate to the Gumboot Friday Fund which provides free counseling to our young kids when required across NZ. This will pay directly to the Givealittle verified Gumboot Friday Fund.
Alternatively we'll have a donation Gumboot with us on the day and everyone is welcome to join Joseph in running laps on the day or to come down purely to show support or to bring food or drinks down for him and the crew. If you intend on running even just 1x lap please head to the Outfoxed page to register, it's free to register and run but helps the event organizers keep track of entries.
Your message will be displayed on the page and emailed to the donor.
