Well through blood, sweat and tears we made it. Yes I’ll admit it I had a small tear in my way around as I thought about all the kindness people had given. From friends putting there hand up to join the crew to the people who kindly donated their hard earned money thank you soo sooo much. A tear was also shed when I thought about the people who this money is going to and the help we can give them this year. Thank you thank you thank you

I never thought I would see the day I ran 18km but this weekend I did it. Plus a little more as got a little lost and when 1km too far so had to come back a km too far. So ran 19.5km and walked another .5km taking me to 20km woohoo so close but saving the extra 1.1km for bit day.

The team member are warming up to hitting 12km and 16km targets it great seeing them getting out there enjoying the fresh air and breathing for CF.

What we have raised so far is amazing but we need to keep going.

We will be able to put toward equipment this year for children and adults living with CF in the community. Also help with welfare issues especially as the cold wet winter months loom.

We did hear the sad news that Emma Taylor a beautiful young lady who was living with CF passed away last week. We have never met but are hearts go out to her and her family. RIP Emma

  • 11 weeks till Big day

      24 February 2019

We are at the 11 week mark, which meant following training programme it was a 10K run. It was a hard push but made it and it felt very rewarding. There was also the exciting news of three new team members Lisa Hill, Robyn Clelland and Marian Carry, quite the team we have turned into, it will be great to have the support going round the Course we will be able to identify each other by having our name followed by CFNZ on our back.

Once again I can not thank you enough for the support with the donations it has been unbelievable. With the support we have recieved already, we can:-

Support 6 adults or 12 Children with equipment to support their physio.

Buy 4 nebulisers for our people with CF

Provide 3 welfare funds to help those who have become unwell and have an extended stay in hospital or difficulty getting to work due to illness. Helping keep a house warm and allow someone to get better or prevent serious illnees. So thank you Xxxxxx
