Hamish Allen is volunteering to let Andrew Bukiel cut his long hair in aid of the new Wellington Children's Hospital they both work on.
Wellington
Hamish Allen, is an Assitant Project Manager at McKee Fehl focused on delivering building services in the new Wellington Children's Hospital, Te Wao Nui.
As the project heads towards completion for the construction phase, Hamish has decided to let his manager, Andrew Bukiel, cut his long, flowing curly hair, after growing it for many years. In just a few short week's time, he will have a crisp and clean-shaven new scalp.
You can help to support him, and his fundraising efforts by contributing to this fundraising pool.
Perhaps you would like to nominate with your donation an examination light, a sprinkler head, a staff wash hand basin, an FCU (fan coil unit) to keep a kids bedroom comfortable or perhaps a power outlet with an in-built USB outlet for device charging in his honour?
In Hamish's words "I will be shaving my hair to raise funds for the Wellington Hospitals Foundation. I have chosen this charity because of my involvement in the construction phase of the New Children's Hospital over the last 2 years. When open in 2022, the facility will have a fit out with medical equipment and other patient care items to ensure children in the Greater Wellington Region receive better healthcare."
McKee Fehl and the project team is humbled to support, Hamish's fundraising efforts, and Maurice Clark, Managing Director for McKee Fehl will be matching all donations made for this event.
Hamish's big hair cut 18 August 2021
Congratulations to Hamish on his new hair do!
Last Friday morning, Andrew got the clipper out and cut of treasured locks.
Having had long hair for over 7 years, he is now adjusting to a different look and the need for a tighter hard hat.
Well done Hamish!
A huge thanks to all those who donated, Maurice and McKee Fehl are pleased to see you raise $3,130 which we have donation-matched directly with the Wellington Hospitals Foundation for the new Wellington Childrens' Hospital, Te Wao Nui.
We look forward to a successful opening!
