Ham's Tour Aotearoa ride: Because I still can and others can't.

I will be embarking on an incredible journey starting from the 19th of February 2024, I'll be pedaling my way from Cape Reinga to Bluff. Why, you might wonder? Because I can, because I'm a little crazy, exceptionally fit, and in great health—so why not :-)

The Tour Aotearoa Brevet presents an extraordinary opportunity—a self-supported 3,000 km ride from Cape Reinga to Bluff. It's important to note that this isn't a race; rather, it's a ride that adheres to a specific course, passing through 30 photo checkpoints, to be completed within a timeframe of 10 to 30 days—no more, no less.

This journey isn't solely about the adventure; it's also about attributing purpose to it. I aim to raise funds for North Haven Hospice, the compassionate caregivers for my youngest brother and father during their challenging times a few years back. The goal is to raise $3,000.00, symbolizing a dollar for each kilometer. Additionally, this ride is in memory of all my RNZ Signals and Infantry (sadly, too many to mention), fallen comrade's who departed from us much earlier than anticipated.

This is set to be both an adventure and a mission. Onward we go. Ride on!
