Fundraising for Sweet Louise

Auckland

Hi my name is Harper. I am 9 years old and almost 2 years ago I found out my best friend’s mum got told she has a very tough kind of cancer (incurable breast cancer).

She lost all her hair but my mum told me that some people can get wigs until their hair grows back. Mum said that people donate their hair to be made into these wigs and that’s what I wanted to do.

I already had long curly hair so I decided to keep growing it. I’ve been growing it for so long and measuring it over and over to make sure it’s long enough.

At the end of this month (August) I will be cutting off more than 30cm of hair!!!

I want to donate my hair because people who have cancer don’t get to choose not to lose their hair and having hair makes you feel happy. Maybe my hair will make someone feel beautiful on the outside when they might be feeling scared on the inside.

My best friend told me about the Sweet Louise charity who help them a lot and her mum is not the only one who is sick with that kind of cancer.

I can’t make my best friends mum better but I can help make it easier if I can raise lots and lots of money.

I feel really proud to be helping someone else.

I hope you do to.

Love Harper

Harper will be donating her beautiful hair to freedom wigs and she is hoping you will match her generosity by helping her raise money. All donations on this page will go straight to Sweet Louise who help those living with incurable breast cancer. They provide practical, emotional and social support.
