Hi, I’m Diana Ahumada. I’m Colombian and have been living in New Zealand for several years. 🇨🇴🇳🇿

Colombia is going through an incredibly difficult time following the devastating earthquake, and watching what is happening from so far away has been heartbreaking.

This has also affected people close to my family. Someone close to us in Cali had their home badly damaged by the earthquake and it is currently uninhabitable until it can be fully repaired.

Thankfully, my family is safe, but knowing that someone close to us has had their home affected has made the reality of this disaster feel even more real. And I know there are so many other families across Colombia facing much greater uncertainty right now.

I kept thinking about what I could actually do from New Zealand to help.

So I decided to start this fundraiser and bring together my colleagues, friends, family and anyone who would like to support Colombian families and communities affected by the earthquake.
