Raising money for Diabetes NZ and supporting efforts to help educate, advocate, and find a cure for Type 1 Diabetes!
Nationwide
265,000 people in New Zealand have diabetes and another 1 in 4 are estimated to have pre-diabetes. Both diet and exercise are fundamental in helping to control both type 1 and type 2 diabetes and prevent or delay type 2.
In the Diabetes NZ Fitbit MoveMeant Challenge, business leaders and public personalities will compete against each other to see who can out-step and fundraise more than the others, to win the inaugural bragging rights as champion fundraising star.
Funds raised will go directly to Diabetes New Zealand to the work they do to support all those affected by diabetes..
I have been living with Type 1 Diabetes since I was 14-years-old, so this is a cause close to home. Living with Type 1 can be challenging at times, but you can still lead a normal life. My attitude has always been that if I work hard, diabetes won’t stop me from doing anything! I want to help support others living with Type 1 and inspire them to live beyond their condition, too. Please donate to help Diabetes NZ educate, advocate, and find a cure.
