I’m trying to give back to the charity that helped save my life when I was in a UK hospital with sepsis in early October.

Hey, it’s me! Fresh out of the hospital and looking to support the charity that helped save my life.
As many of you know in early October I was in ICU in Surrey Royal hospital UK with a bad case of Sepsis. Now I was incredibly lucky that this happened to me in the UK because they know so much more about the effects of Sepsis than we do over in our corner of the world and this is mainly because of the UK Sepsis Trust. Through this fundraiser, I'm trying to get more awareness for the NZ sepsis Trust so that we can have just as big and widely known Trust in NZ as they have in the UK and save more kiwis!
The mission of the NZ sepsis Trust is to spread the word about sepsis because the more people who are aware of the causes and effects the fewer deaths that will happen as a result of sepsis. It is really due to the work they have already done of teaching people about sepsis that meant that the doctors and nurses who worked on me in ICU were well informed and knew what to do to help me quickly and effectively.
So I decided that as I basically owe my life to those doctors and nurses and the Sepsis Trust that for my birthday I would put this out and ask that if anyone had anything to spare, be it a couple of cents or a few dollars, that I and many other future patients who will suffer from sepsis will be forever grateful if you could donate to the Sepsis Trust. This Trust is very close to my heart and I am super excited to chat with the team and lend them my story to potentially help others by making the awareness of sepsis higher.
If you can spare any change for this Trust it could save a life. Thank you
I was in ICU for about two weeks with sepsis in October this year.
